About Camp Kanata
Camp Overview
Camp Kanata was established in 2017 and is a week long, half-day horseback riding camp for ages 5-12. This summer, how about reawakening the innate love of the outdoors in your child in a small group setting? Camp Kanata at R&J Stables is unique in that it is run by an experienced classroom and outdoor education teacher. With a maximum of 12 children per day with at least 6 staff, your child will get individual attention and fun in a safe environment. Horseback riding, outdoor games and arts and crafts are just some of the exciting activities. There are also theme days, scavenger hunts, a horse show and campfire lunch on Fridays. We have three specialist weeks: Drama camp, Arts Camp and Music Camp
Specialist Arts Camps
In our Drama, Art and Music camps, campers will begin the day with horseback riding and finish with an arts specialty. Each of these camps ends with a performance (dramatic, musical, or Gallery Walk)
Adult Camp
Last summer we piloted Adult camp and it was awesome! A one day summer camp experience with riding, scavenger hunt, arts and crafts and a campfire lunch. Stay tuned for registration dates
